Bluecity010
Stichting ifund ondersteunt de oprichting van BlueCity010 in het voormalige Tropicana pand aan de Maasboulevard in Rotterdam.
Dit iconische pand valt sinds kort in de failliete boedel van het Lips concern en de curator zoekt naar een koper. De ondernemers van RotterZwam hebben het initiatief genomen om met meer ondernemers in contact te komen, die zich richten op een van de circulaire businesscases uit de “the blue economy”, het bekende boek van Gunter Pauli.
Dit plan past precies binnen de doelstelling van stichting ifund, om een impact incubator in Rotterdam op te richten. Ifund heeft zich aangesloten bij dit inititief en werkt intensief mee aan het onderzoek naar het pand en de mogelijkheden van het plan.
BlueCity010 moet een samenkomen worden van duurzame ondernemers, kennisinstellingen en de stad. Een open plek, waar kennis gedeeld wordt, en waar iedereen kan zien hoe de economie en voedselvoorziening van de toekomst eruit ziet. De ondernemers gebruiken elkaars reststromen als nieuwe grondstoffen, sluiten kringlopen en bouwen een nieuw ecosysteem, naar voorbeeld van de circulaire natuur.
